THANKS TO IPROTEX MÜNCHBERG, THE SAILING CLUB FÖRMITZSPEICHER E.V. HOF IS HAPPY ABOUT A NEW BOAT FOR THE YOUTH DEPARTMENT. ON JUNE 12, 2021, THE BOAT CHRISTENING AT THE FÖRMITZSPEICHER TOOK PLACE IN PERFECT WEATHER. 

In the future, the youth training on the Förmitzspeicher can be expanded further. Thanks to Iprotex Münchberg, another teen boat was purchased. “It is very important to us to get involved in the region,” says Timo Piwonski, CEO of the Münchberg-based company. The contact to the sailing club came through technical director Henning Vocke, because his daughter is active at the sailing club Förmitzspeicher e.V. Hof. After some research on the Internet, a suitable boat was found in northern Germany and Timo Piwonski agreed to cover the costs for it. After a thorough preparation of the boat, the solemn christening of the boat took place on June 12, 2021. In compliance with the currently valid corona regulations, the teen was baptized by the two daughters of Henning Vocke, Johanna and Elisabeth, in front of the numerous guests of honor such as District Administrator Oliver Bär and his deputy Annika Popp. Immediately after the christening, the boat had its maiden voyage on the first regatta. 

The new Teeny is now on the move under the name “iprotex” on the Förmitz store. We wish the young sailors a lot of fun with their new boat, good wind and always a hand’s breadth of water under the keel!
