The head office of the company, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is located in Münchberg in Upper Franconia. The majority of our customers are in the automotive industry. Thanks to the excellent cooperation over the last few years, iprotex has been able to build up a large customer base and a broad product portfolio in this sector. The products mainly consist of textile wrappings for cables and wires or other relevant components to protect them from external influences such as heat or abrasion, especially in the engine compartment. “In recent years, textile expertise has increasingly been transferred to other industrial sectors. The existing products and the countless possibilities in textile production are also very interesting for many other sectors, such as medical technology, mechanical engineering or the aerospace industry,” explains Timo Piwonski, CEO of iprotex GmbH & Co. KG.

We see future business opportunities in areas where resources can be conserved and natural, renewable materials can be used. We already work a lot with natural materials such as paper or flax and would like to produce many technical textiles from organic materials in the future.
